Product overview
A conventional Y-body strainer for protecting traps, control valves, pumps and flow meters from pipe scale and construction debris.
The problem it solves
Mill scale, weld spatter and rust carried in a new or reworked line will wreck a control valve seat or jam a trap within hours of commissioning.
Working principle
Flow passes through a sloped cylindrical screen held in the Y-leg. Solids collect in the leg and are removed at a drain plug or blowdown valve.
