TJ-Series
Thermojeet Thermocompressor
Lifts low-pressure flash steam back to usable process pressure using high-pressure steam as the motive force.
Product overview
A steam injector that entrains low-pressure flash steam into a high-pressure motive jet and discharges the mixture at an intermediate, usable pressure.
The problem it solves
Flash steam released from high-pressure condensate is usually vented to atmosphere. It is clean, usable energy that was already paid for at the boiler, and it leaves the site as a plume.
Working principle
Motive steam expands through a nozzle, converting pressure to velocity. The resulting low-pressure zone entrains flash steam from the suction branch; the combined flow is recompressed in a diffuser and delivered at intermediate pressure.
Applications
- Flash steam recovery from condensate receivers and flash vessels
- Raising low-pressure steam to a usable process header
- Reducing live steam demand on a low-pressure user
Advantages
- No moving parts and no electricity
- Recovers energy that would otherwise vent to atmosphere
- Sized to the specific motive, suction and discharge pressures of your line
